“I want the world and everything that comes with it” - the infamous sound byte from Scarface the movie is heard moments before the beat finds itself. The music begins and immediately has an almost vintage jazzy type feel as a cold piano dances along with a warm saxophone to each boom bap. Sin enters calmly while yet mildly aggressive via wordplay, accompanied by a digestible flow. Not to compare, but I can almost hear remnants of a young Jay Z energy fused with today’s essence of Pusha T the more I listen to “Repeat”. This song sounds like an audible page torn out of Sin’s journal as he lets listeners into the very life he’s heard narrating.
